Safety First
If EV Battery Damage Is Suspected
Guidance below is a short paraphrase of official NHTSA information for electric and hybrid vehicles.
Physical damage to an electric vehicle or its high-voltage battery may create immediate or delayed shock, gas or fire hazards, even when the vehicle looks intact.
If there is smoke, fire, escaping gas, unusual heat, sparks or arcing — or any other serious emergency — move away from the vehicle and call 911.
- Do not touch exposed high-voltage components, cables or connectors.
- Do not charge the vehicle.
- Follow the owner manual and the manufacturer's guidance for your vehicle.
- Arrange towing appropriate to the vehicle instead of driving it.
- Contact the manufacturer, dealer or a qualified provider about the battery.
- When battery damage is suspected, avoid parking or storing the vehicle indoors or near combustible materials.
Do not attempt to diagnose, isolate or de-energize the vehicle yourself. For the official guidance, see NHTSA on electric and hybrid vehicles.
What We Do
EV Collision & Body Repair
Body, panel, refinish and structural work planned around the specific vehicle and the damage in front of us.
Panel & Bumper Repair
Collision damage to body panels, bumpers, doors and closures assessed and repaired or replaced based on the written repair plan.
Refinishing & Color Matching
Refinishing of repaired and replaced panels with color matching to the vehicle's existing finish.
Body Panel Evaluation
Panel material, prior repairs and access are confirmed during inspection so the repair method suits the panel.
Structural Evaluation
Collision damage is evaluated for structural involvement, with measurement performed when the inspection indicates it.
Manufacturer-Procedure Review
We review the applicable manufacturer repair information for the identified vehicle before finalizing the repair plan.
Diagnostic Scanning
Diagnostic scanning where applicable to the vehicle and within our capability, documented as part of the repair file.
ADAS Evaluation & Calibration
Driver-assistance calibration is performed in-house and is evaluated for each vehicle and repair, not assumed for every job.
Battery-Area Concerns Documented
Suspected high-voltage or battery-area damage is documented and referred or coordinated with an appropriately equipped provider.
Written Repair Plan
A written repair plan and estimate describing the work we can perform, and anything that falls outside it.

Scope
What We Perform, And What We Refer
EV collision procedures vary by vehicle and damage, so we confirm scope after identifying the vehicle and reviewing the applicable manufacturer information.
1. Body and collision repair planning
Collision damage inspection, vehicle identification, manufacturer-procedure review, body and structural evaluation, refinishing and the written repair plan happen at Car Geeks Collision in Hollywood, Florida.
2. High-voltage or battery-related work
Work involving high-voltage components is only undertaken when it is confirmed in writing as part of the repair plan for that specific vehicle. We do not advertise it as a standing service.
3. Referral and coordination
When a needed operation falls outside what we have confirmed we can perform, we document the concern and coordinate with or refer you to an appropriately equipped provider.
Structural involvement is evaluated alongside body damage — see frame straightening and collision repair for how that work is handled.
